Hello Morning Glory Artists:
We’re anxiously awaiting your arrival in Milwaukee for the 43rd annual Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair! Following is information pertaining to your arrival, set-up and parking to make that arrival go smoothly.
Show Hours Saturday & Sunday, August 12 and 13, 10 am to 5 pm both days
Set-Up We offer early set-up on Friday, August 11th from noon to 7 pm. You must be off the grounds by 7 pm. Saturday set-up is from 6:30 to 9:30 am. When you arrive, please go to the Information Booth located on the Marcus grounds, along the Milwaukee Riverwalk, near the band shell. There is no check-in located at Red Arrow this year, everyone checks in on the Marcus grounds. You will receive your artist packet at the Info Booth. Refer to the maps that were emailed to you recently for additional information.
When you check in, please bring your driver’s license and a photo i.d., along with the completed Wisconsin tax form available by clicking on this button: The relevant tax rate for the show is 5.6%. Additional forms can be obtained at the information booth.
Unloading Once you have checked in, there will be traffic coordinators to help direct you. Please unload your vehicle in your assigned area and then move your vehicle before you begin setting up. This system allows other artists to unload sooner.
Parking The Marcus Center parking structure has some renovation work underway, but there is still parking available there for 100+ cars. Clearance is 7’ on the lower level. Parking is $10/day. On Saturday there is some free street parking downtown, but check the signs and meters for exactly where. On Sunday there is free street parking in most of downtown. Again, check signs and meters for possible exceptions. There is NO PARKING in the bagged meter areas reserved for unloading.
There is also parking available at the 1000 N. Water Street structure (east side of street). They are open 24/7. Overnight parking is available but read the signage as it can be expensive. Daily parking there is $10 and clearance is 7’.
There is a surface parking lot, SP+ Parking, close to the show at the southeast corner of Knapp and Water. Note that Knapp Street is named McKinley until this intersection when the name changes. Those of you with oversize vehicles or pulling a trailer, this is the best location for you. If your vehicle takes up more than one space, you must pay for as many spaces as the vehicle occupies. You may leave your vehicle/trailer overnight.
There is an additional surface lot in the northwest corner of the same intersection of Knapp and Water. Here you will find ten hour meters, 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Please note: neither WDCC, nor Morning Glory, nor any of the parking facilities described above are responsible for damage or stolen items or any tickets.
Remember your booth may be on concrete or grass and there is no staking anywhere on the grounds. Please come prepared with weights for your tent.
